she was in my arms, since the shop stocks breakables right at toddler height, and as i was paying for my italian soda, dylan reached out and five-fingered a scone that was plated at the register, un-cased and un-wrapped.
so i paid for an italian soda and a "snack." awesome.
it's been our little project for months now to get our eager talker to tell us when she needs a diaper change, but that has basically been the least of her priorities.
dylan can say stinky, poop, wet, (y)uck, pants, dirty, and diaper, yet she prefers to keep her soiled drawers a secret. it drives me crazy.
i mean, really, why would you want to sit in that? that's the ongoing
and then today, it happened.
dylan stopped playing, came over, pointed to her pants, and said: "bum."
that's my girl:)
on an entirely unrelated note, i was contacted by allchildrensfurniture.com to do a product review. they sell kids furniture along with things like wooden toys, which hopefully dylan will get to test drive in the near future. i'll let you know what happens.

both of mine wouldn't tell me when they needed a diaper change either! so frustrating! love how she took the snack situation into her own hands. :)
I babysit a little girl who tells me the minute she has soiled her pants and demands to be changed AT THAT SECOND. That drives me crazy. Yesterday she had a dirty diaper as I was setting out lunch for everyone. After telling her I'd get to it in a minute (wanting to get lunch on so I wasn't handling food post diaper, even though I wash my hands...still makes me feel better), she proceeded to take her hands, pull poop out of her diaper and yell "Change Poo Poo NOW". If I was her mother....
I still think you should go with "I need to drop a deuce"
LOL! She's getting the hang of it :)
